A Tale About a Slime
Monday Feb 21, 2022
Monday Feb 21, 2022
Welcome back to the podcast. James and I make our triumphant return to recording ourselves acting like idiots for your enjoyment. We talk about what we've been up to these last six or so months, then dive straight into the big Microsoft and Sony arms race of 2022. We stop off for a bit of lighter fair as we discuss the upcoming Halo tv show and the impact esports is having on the Asian market (is it good? is it bad? come find out.)
We'll wrap up with a review of one of our favorite anime of the last couple years, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime." A fun little anime that turns the isekai genre on its head, with tons of pointless battles and big boobs that do nothing for the main character.
We hope you all enjoy our return and here's to being back behind the mic.
Cheers.

That one‘s got a shield in its face.. Pokemon Sword and Shield
Monday Sep 20, 2021
Monday Sep 20, 2021
James and I chat with Asa from Podzilla1985 talk about Nintendo possibly bringing some of our favorite Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games to the switch, the Twitch boycott against hate raids, Sony being weird about updating their games, China's gaming restrictions shut down servers, and Sony is changing up their PS5 hardware, maybe for the worse.
Then we move right along and discuss the highly contentious Pokemon Sword and Shield. We go into whether the game was good enough to be brought onto the Switch, and if it was ready to come start a new generation of Pokemon trainers.

In our season 3 premiere, Sirr from @MyMovieFixPodcast joins James and I as we delve into a discussion about the slightly contested Marvel Cinematic Universe film Captain America: Civil War. Who's on the right side of the war, does Iron make any sense in this film, could we write a better ending?
We also talk about some Big GamesCon 2021 announcements, Overwatch's McCree is being renamed, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer Shatters 24-Hour Viewership, a YouTuber Accuses Million-Dollar Retro Game Sales Of Being Scams, and China Limits Online Videogames to Three Hours a Week for Young People.
Tell us what you think of the items we discussed in this episode? Let us know.

Axiom Verge... and we forgot it was our anniversary episode?
Monday Sep 06, 2021
Monday Sep 06, 2021
The End of Season 2 and we forgot about it.
James and I roll into this week's roundup discussing several items of news including; Pokémon United is coming to mobile, gaming auction house and the valuation companies are bad, Netflix's Magic the Gathering Series looks lost, Bethesda hires outside talent, and Studio 343 is pushing out an unfinished Halo Infinite.
We then get into the wonderfully delightful indie game Axiom Verge solely created by Thomas Happ. This game is a nostalgia trip out the ying yang, as you travel through a unique take on the Metroid games of old. This game brings much warmth to my heart.
Check it all out in this week's episode.

Arstotzka Forever! Papers, Please
Monday Aug 30, 2021
Monday Aug 30, 2021
Do you enjoy looking at the tiny little details and then rubber stamping the form DENIED! when one little thing is out of place? James and I delve into the wonderfully simple, yet ultimately complicated world of bureaucracy, in this week's review of Papers, Please. This game came out of left field, with the simple idea of what if you were a immigration officer in a dystopian country? Seems simple right, you are very wrong. This game starts slow but slowly lets the tension build through each stage until you can feel the anxiety in your bones. But in a fun way.
We also talk some gaming news, most notably the upcoming Xbox Game Pass list for this August and then Nintendo going after the little guy, who's just trying to illegally sell their old games.
Check it all out in this week's episode.

Education Time with Cells at Work
Monday Aug 23, 2021
Monday Aug 23, 2021
James teaches me the intricacies of the human body in this week's episode as we talk about the part humorous, part educational hit anime Cells at work. James gives me the run down of what I have to look forward to in my old age as we cover the newest series to bare the name Cells at Work: Code Black, that welcomes us into the body of an older male (fun fact we talk about erections, Yay!)
We also covered the news about the Pathfinder expansion that sets to give us two new classes, exciting.
Along with hearing that we all might soon be able to get a Playstation 5 in the near future, as we talk GPU chip production supply lines.
We hope you all enjoy this week's episode.
Please Enjoy.

I'm a kitty kat.... Super Mario 3d World+Bowser's Fury
Monday Aug 16, 2021
Monday Aug 16, 2021
James and I change up the show a bit this week. We've added a news segment that is just as disjointed as our conversations. We discuss the video game industry news, the big Blizzard fallout (aka don't touch me there), the new Steam Deck (the Switch killer), Netflix gets into video games, and finally the announcement of Demon Slayer Season 2 coming this year.... Get Hyped!
We eventually make our way into the review of the recently released Super Mario 3d World+ Bowser's Fury. James and I delve into the strange fascination of Mario in a cat suit; What's the deal with a grown man in a cat suit....
Check out this week's episode on Super Mario 3d World+ Bowser's Fury.

Jackie and I continue our Harry Potter series with the next logical step, the third book in the series; The Prisoner of Azkaban. We discuss the increasing angst levels as the kiddos begin growing up and dealing with the real Wizarding World more and more. How does Harry and the gang improve as characters, did J.K. Rowling make a better choice of giving Harry a new loving family only to later tear them away from him...... I have strong feelings.
Check out this week's episode on Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Please Enjoy.
