A Tale About a Slime

Monday Feb 21, 2022

Welcome back to the podcast. James and I make our triumphant return to recording ourselves acting like idiots for your enjoyment.  We talk about what we've been up to these last six or so months, then dive straight into the big Microsoft and Sony arms race of 2022. We stop off for a bit of lighter fair as we discuss the upcoming Halo tv show and the impact esports is having on the Asian market (is it good? is it bad? come find out.)   We'll wrap up with a review of one of our favorite anime of the last couple years, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime." A fun little anime that turns the isekai genre on its head, with tons of pointless battles and big boobs that do nothing for the main character. We hope you all enjoy our return and here's to being back behind the mic. Cheers. #podcast #gamingnews #ThatTimeIGotReincarnatedAsASlime  #anime

That one‘s got a shield in its face.. Pokemon Sword and Shield

Monday Sep 20, 2021

James and I chat with Asa from Podzilla1985 talk about Nintendo possibly bringing some of our favorite Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games to the switch, the Twitch boycott against hate raids, Sony being weird about updating their games, China's gaming restrictions shut down servers, and Sony is changing up their PS5 hardware, maybe for the worse.    Then we move right along and discuss the highly contentious Pokemon Sword and Shield. We go into whether the game was good enough to be brought onto the Switch, and if it was ready to come start a new generation of Pokemon trainers.  Find Asa at  http://www.podzilla1985.com/  Cape Championship Wrestling events https://www.capewrestling.com/    SPCAC contacts https://linktr.ee/seriouslypointlessconvo  seriouslypointlessconvo@gmail.com

Axiom Verge... and we forgot it was our anniversary episode?

Monday Sep 06, 2021

The End of Season 2 and we forgot about it.  James and I roll into this week's roundup discussing several items of news including; Pokémon United is coming to mobile, gaming auction house and the valuation companies are bad, Netflix's Magic the Gathering Series looks lost, Bethesda hires outside talent, and Studio 343 is pushing out an unfinished Halo Infinite.  We then get into the wonderfully delightful indie game Axiom Verge solely created by Thomas Happ. This game is a nostalgia trip out the ying yang, as you travel through a unique take on the Metroid games of old. This game brings much warmth to my heart.  Check it all out in this week's episode. SPCAC contacts https://linktr.ee/seriouslypointlessconvo  seriouslypointlessconvo@gmail.com
