Buzz Buzz, we talk about Earthbound

Although a bit more niche when it first came out and still a bit of a cult classic, it has joined the ranks of Nintendo greatness over the years. While most first learned of the game's existence through Super Smash Bros, it has undoubtedly had a bit of a  resurgence over the last few decades.

James and I begin our classic RPG series with a doozy, Fallout 1 by Interplay Entertainment which was released in 1997 to well deserved applause. But what made this game a unique outlier of the times as the console setting was really starting to take hold in the gaming world. Well we discuss that and more as we venture from our Vault into the wasteland of pc games.

Vampire Bois: Watch Along Castlevania Season 2 Episode1

We jump into an excellent anime series that I truly loved, but James had fallen away from. The series was Netflix's Castlevania Season 2 Episode 1, where we enter into a world with Dracula beginning the annihilation of the human race, Trevor Belmont is trying to figure out his next move with Alucard and Sypha in a destroyed town that murder Dracula's wife years ago.   To say this was one of my favorite series out of the Netflix anime boom of the 2010's would be an understatement. Truly a bloody romp through this world of vampires and religious fanatics, this is a blast and wonderful ingesting of sensory overload.

Collect that junk! The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker

We close off this trilogy with a foray into the GameCube era, as we discuss the controversial Legend of Zelda: Windwaker.  James and I discuss a bit about how this strange departure from the rest of the Zelda series really divided fans of the series, almost simply because of its art style alone. We also discuss how this change in art style and gameplay paved the way for many other fan favorites, such as Breath of the Wild.

Timey Whimey. Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask

James and I talk about one of his favorite games in the Legend of Zelda series, Majora's Mask.  This one hits home for James, as it was a large part of his childhood and the impression it left on him.  This game also really left a dent in the gaming sphere of the early 2000s on its innovation and storytelling. We enjoyed talking about this one immensely so sit back, open your ears, and enjoy.

My Dress Up Darling - Watch Along

James christens our watch along series with an anime favorite of his My Dress Up Darling. A fun and slightly raunchy anime about a shy teenage boy,  Wakana Gojo, who is a hina doll craftsman (similar to our American porcelain dolls) and an outgoing young lady cosplayer named Marin Kitagawa.  High jinks ensue and you'll have to watch the episode to find out what happens.  You'll also get to enjoy some commentary from James and I as we watch this, me for the first time.
