It showed us a nice blend of history along with fun RTS multiplayer games. What makes a good Studio Ghibli film? Is it art direction, or maybe a heartfelt story?  Well if that's what makes a good film, Jackie and I agree that this film doesn't have it. Earwig and the Witch is a mess of half hearted movements and small tentative steps from a director trying to exit his father's shadow. Although the movie isn't a complete waste of time to watch, I can say we will not be making this a regular family watch.
